Lane T. Brown, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist and Founder of VSG
Lane Brown is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders and a minor in Psychology from Auburn University. Lane also studied at Middlesex University in London, England where she earned a Diploma of Psychology: Reading, Language and Childhood Development. She went on to earn her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Radford University in Radford, Virginia. While in graduate school, Lane worked with the RU Autism Clinic as part of a clinical team investigating the efficacy of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association’s (ASHA) “Best Practices for Intervention in Autism Spectrum Disorders.” The results of this study were later presented at the national ASHA convention.
Lane completed her Clinical Fellowship Year at a private practice in Knoxville, Tennessee. During her CFY Lane was contracted to provide therapy in the public school system, Headstart programs, home-based early intervention, and clinic based outpatient services. She was awarded the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA in 2010. Lane has also previously worked in a pediatric outpatient clinic in Pensacola, Florida where she regularly collaborated with physical and occupational therapists. During her time in Pensacola, Lane also served on a team at Sacred Heart Hospital that provided autism diagnostics. Additionally, Lane has been earned an Award for Continuing Education (ACE) from ASHA for accumulating significantly more hours of continuing education credits than what is required for her license.
Lane has worked with children in a variety of settings for over 20 years. She is passionate about helping each child reach his or her full potential. Lane also serves on the board of the Speech and Hearing Association of Alabama.

Allyson C. Saia, M.A., CCC-SLP,

Allyson Saia is a licensed and certified speech language pathologist. She received her M.A. in Speech Language Pathology from The University of Memphis and her B.A. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Louisiana State University. She has a wide variety of experience from working at an elementary school, at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and at Children’s of Alabama. Allyson has been awarded an Award for Continuing Education (ACE) from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association for her dedication to pursuing more than the required professional development courses. She has been working with children for over 15 years and her patients love the energy that she brings to the team at Vulcan Speech.
Audrey Brewer, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist and Office Administrator
Audrey is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist. Audrey received her B.A. in Communication Disorders from Auburn University and her M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas. We credit Audrey for keeping our office running efficiently but we love having her as our "bonus SLP" from time-to-time as well!
Melissa Morrisey, M.S., CCC-SLP

Melissa Morrisey is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist from Birmingham. She received her Bachelor's degree from Auburn University and her Master's degree from the University of Montevallo. She has over 15 years experience in a variety of healthcare settings. Melissa is passionate about helping people communicate to the best of their potential and her patients love how she celebrates their successes with them.
